DASS Services is operated by DASS Group, a Canadian company. We help organizations discover, implement, and maximise the value of artificial intelligence. This policy explains what data we collect when you use DASS Services products — including this training tool — and how we handle it.

What We Collect

This tool (Data Stack Quest) runs entirely in your browser. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information while you play. No account is required. No cookies are set. No data leaves your device.

If you contact us directly via email or through our website, we collect your name and email address solely to respond to your inquiry.

If you engage with DASS Services in a commercial capacity (proposals, service agreements, client onboarding), we collect information necessary to deliver and administer those services — including contact details, company information, and project-related data. This data is stored securely and never sold.

How We Use Your Data

• To respond to inquiries and deliver services you have requested
• To improve our products and training content
• To fulfill legal and contractual obligations
• To communicate relevant updates, with your consent

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Full stop.

Third-Party Services

Our broader platform integrates with Supabase (data storage), Resend (transactional email), HubSpot (CRM), and Cloudflare (infrastructure). Each is bound by its own privacy terms and processes only the data necessary for the function it performs.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you at any time. Residents of Canada, the EU, and jurisdictions with applicable privacy legislation have additional rights under PIPEDA, GDPR, and equivalent frameworks. Data Retention

We retain client and contact data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by law. Inquiry data is deleted when no longer relevant. You may request earlier deletion at any time.

Security

We apply industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (TLS), access controls, and row-level security on database infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure, but protecting your data is a non-negotiable operating principle at DASS.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our products evolve. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our services after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using any DASS Services product — including this training tool, our website, client portal, or any associated service — you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Use of This Tool

Data Stack Quest is an educational tool provided for informational and training purposes. You may use it freely for personal learning. You may not reproduce, resell, reframe, or redistribute this tool or its content without written permission from DASS Group.

The content in this tool is based on publicly available educational material from Trilemma Foundation (build.trilemma.foundation) and is attributed accordingly.

Intellectual Property

All original content, design, brand elements (including the DASS wordmark and | D motif), copy, and structure of DASS Services products are the intellectual property of DASS Group. Nothing in these terms transfers any IP rights to you.

The DASS name, logo, and associated marks may not be used without prior written consent.

Consulting and Professional Services

Engagements for AI strategy, implementation, advisory, or related professional services are governed by a separate Master Services Agreement or Statement of Work executed between DASS Group and the client. These Terms of Service apply to digital products and tools only. Where a conflict exists, the executed agreement governs.

No Warranties

This tool is provided "as is." DASS Group makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose of any content. Educational content reflects best practices at the time of writing and may not reflect the latest developments in any technology or methodology.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DASS Group is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of this tool or any DASS Services product. Our total liability for any claim arising from use of a free tool shall not exceed zero dollars.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use DASS Services products to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Infringe the intellectual property rights of DASS Group or any third party
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or automate access to our products
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.

Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms as our services evolve. Continued use after a revision constitutes acceptance. We will update the effective date above when changes are made.
